Our commitment
Raw 100.5 serves everyone in Jackson, including people with disabilities. Our goal is for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have not yet had an independent audit.
What we have done
- Text alternatives: logos and images carry descriptive alternative text.
- Keyboard use: menus, links, forms and buttons can be used with the keyboard, and keyboard focus is visible.
- Listen Live player: the player opens in a dialog that you can operate with the keyboard. Escape closes it and stops the audio, focus stays inside it while it is open and returns to where you were when it closes, and the buttons have text labels for screen readers. The player can also open in its own window.
- Readable layout: text can be enlarged, and pages adapt to phones and tablets. Animation respects the reduced-motion setting on your device.
- Forms: fields have visible labels and plain-language instructions.
What we are working on
- Captions and transcripts: we plan to provide captions for video and transcripts for shows and features we publish as audio.
- Audit and fixes: we will test with screen readers and fix problems we find.
