Kevin Durant opens up in an ESPN exclusive about his time in Oklahoma City, his legacy and the Thunder's 2025 championship. He says he appreciates the city after what ESPN calls the most acrimonious exit of his career.
Durant arrived in Oklahoma City in July 2008 at age 19. The Thunder reached the 2012 Finals with Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, but lost to the Heat, and all three moved on. Durant left in 2016 for Golden State and won two titles. The Thunder later won the 2025 championship and look set to contend for years.
