No. 20 Boise State beat Texas State 46-45 on Saturday night after blowing a 25-point halftime lead, with backup quarterback Max Cutforth throwing three touchdown passes in the final seven minutes.
Starter Maddux Madsen left with an injury. Texas State scored the first 36 points of the second half and took a 39-28 lead with 8:58 left when Jayden Bradley returned Madsen's first interception of the season for a touchdown. Boise State (7-1, 4-0 Pac-12) came back anyway. Coach Spencer Danielson called the third quarter "one of the worst quarters of football that I've ever been a part of" but said he was proud of how his team found a way to win.
