PBS NewsHour reports that candidates are making final midterm stops with only the weekend left before Election Day and early voting surging nationwide.
On the trail
President Trump was in Florida and then headed to Iowa and Kansas, a last-minute change after the rallies had first been canceled. In Alaska, the Senate race has been rocked by a ballot controversy: the New York Times reported that Democratic candidate Mary Peltola's campaign and national Democrats recruited a retired schoolteacher named Dan J. Sullivan to run, potentially taking votes from incumbent Republican Dan S. Sullivan. Peltola denied knowing about any other candidates, and the Justice Department is investigating. Voters appeared split on whether it was damning or a distraction.
The broadcast also covered a $6 billion crypto theft and Ukraine's Starlink disruption.
