Victor Wembanyama kept his Halloween tradition alive Saturday, arriving at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio dressed as Geralt of Rivia from "The Witcher" book series.
He explained why it is his favorite: "it feels as much like a fantasy book, epic fantasy, as a dive into human psychology and emotions," and he said that after reading seven books he feels he knows the characters like family. Geralt is a solitary monster hunter in a world where people often prove worse than the beasts. Wembanyama, 22, had paused his costume ritual last season because the Spurs did not play on Halloween.
