No. 4 Indiana beat Minnesota 23-16 in overtime Saturday in Bloomington after backup quarterback Grant Wilson took over for the injured Josh Hoover in the second half.
Wilson threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Charlie Becker on the first play of overtime, and the defense ended the game by sacking Minnesota's Drake Lindsey on fourth down. Coach Curt Cignetti said he always believed in the seventh-year player. Indiana (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten) needed overtime for the second straight week as it tries to repeat as national champion.
