Federal investigators said Monday, Nov. 2, that parts of a Learjet 60 may have broken off before it crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, killing all nine people aboard, the Associated Press and WFLX reported.
What the NTSB found
Debris was found about half a mile by four-tenths of a mile away from the impact site. Investigators have not said which components came off, AVweb reported.
The final minutes
The crew reported manageable clear icing and moderate turbulence shortly before the accident, according to the NTSB's account carried by WFLX. At 35,000 feet the plane deviated by roughly 700 feet before a rapid descent and a mayday call.

A separate Raw 100.5 story covers claims about footage of the crash on social media.
