The Memphis Grizzlies stayed the NBA's only unbeaten team Saturday night, beating the Sacramento Kings 136-105 at FedExForum to improve to 6-0, according to the Associated Press.
Boozer and Stewart lead the way
Rookie Cameron Boozer, the third pick in last summer's draft, had 27 points and nine rebounds, and Isaiah Stewart added 24 points. GG Jackson scored 21 and made all five of his 3-pointers as Memphis built its early lead. Cam Spencer started at point guard with Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. out with back issues, and finished with 10 points and 13 assists.
A second-half pull-away
The line score shows Memphis ahead 27-21 after one quarter and 66-55 at halftime (39-34 in the second). The Grizzlies blew the game open in the third, outscoring Sacramento 42-25 as Stewart and Boozer fueled the offense. The lead was as large as 34 in the second half.
Franchise history
The 6-0 start matches the 2014-15 season for the best opening in franchise history. Memphis became the last unbeaten team in the league after Houston lost 116-111 at Dallas on Friday. Sacramento fell to 0-6, including 0-4 on the road.
