ESPN's Tim MacMahon looks at how Kyrie Irving and 2025 No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg fit together on the new-look Dallas Mavericks, whom new coach Dusty May called a "fun puzzle." Dallas hosted Oklahoma City Wednesday night.
Irving had not played for Dallas in more than 18 months when he organized an informal minicamp in Southern California in early September, with workouts and beach yoga, to build chemistry with younger teammates. He calls Flagg his "19-year-old co-pilot," and May says the younger players hang on his every word.
